Joe's Juice Bus

Joe’s Juice bus had its first successful season in Defiance this summer. Joe parked near the mall, downtown, and other locations around Defiance Tuesday-Saturday to offer cleanses and fresh cups of organic, cold-pressed juices.

Joe wrapped up his bus season for 2020, and may relocate indoors during the winter. Either way, you will see the bus back out in the spring!

I posted about his bus when he initially started to share some of the background and what his plan is, so read on -

I really like Joe's zest for juice. No pun intended (I swear!). He is passionate and I enjoyed reading his story. I asked him to elaborate on his journey and how he will operate, so read on:

My name is Joe L’Heureux and I’m launching the Joe’s Juice bus here in Defiance, OH. I have been on a health journey for most of my life. Having grown up in Africa as a military brat, I was exposed to real, unprocessed foods early on. Healthy, organic food just tastes better and is more satisfying to me, not to mention better for us and the environment. I remember getting fresh-pressed orange and pomegranate juice from a local vendor at a market in Morocco when I was a kid. And so the fire was lit! I have worked in several juice bars, done extensive nutritional research and been enjoying an invigorating lifestyle since the early ‘90’s. I was able to overcome personal health issues through my eating habits and avoid prescription medications. Health is a true passion for me and I yearn to share it with others so they, too, can experience the health and environmental benefits.

Joe’s Juice was born in Defiance, OH to offer a healthy alternative. Juicing is a tasty and easy way to get your daily allowance of fresh, organic, raw vegetables and fruits all in one cup! 2+ pounds of produce and a lot of care and attention go into every cup of juice I make. The benefits are many: phytonutrients, enzymes, vitamins and minerals, to name a few. Fresh, cold-pressed juice retains more of its nutritional content since it’s not heat pasteurized. In addition, the cold-pressed method retains more nutrients than your average home juicer and lasts up to 3 days refrigerated. The Joe’s Juice bus is a creation unlike other fast food trucks. I spent the last 4.5 month converting a school bus into a mobile juice bus. Joe’s Juice bus is solar-powered, proving that good food can be sustainable in so many ways! There is no generator to hear or smell, just clean, abundant solar power to make my organic, cold-pressed juices.

Joe’s Juice bus will be at the Defiance downtown and Northtowne farmer’s markets as well as various locations around town. I am available for special events as well as special requests for juices and cleanses. I have extensive personal experience with juice cleanses and can help juicers with their healthy lifestyle choices. I will be adding raw, organic food choices in the future as well as unique lemonade’s. I am looking forward to offering the Defiance area organic, cold-pressed juice! Please look for the bright green Joe’s Juice bus around town (it’s hard to miss!). I can be reached at 808-989-1250 by text or phone for additional days and locations.
